Dual-articulated gimbals reduce the friction losses during cornering because the respective angle of the bridge must be less per joint.
The Kardans fit all T2, T3 and T4 variants. In older cars, however, it is important that the appropriate C-Hubs be driven (large recess, eg 302363/302364 in the standard Vairante). For the newer cars, these C-Hubs are already included as standard.
Unlike many Kardans from third-party manufacturers, the XRAY Kardans are driven with the original wheel bearings. This solution is more durable and more durable than the narrow versions.
There are now the XRAY ECS Kardans in three lengths:
50mm - recommended for carpet with little grip or angled asphalt sections
51mm - recommended for carpet with normal handle and large asphalt sections
52mm - recommended for carpet with high grip
The shorter the cardan, the more grip the car builds up.
The longer the Kardans, the more stable and quiet the driving behavior.
One can not say that a variant would be better or worse. One must always react to the existing conditions.
